The Church of North India is part of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church – the Body of Christ – which He is building up from persons of all generations and races. The Church of North India is what it is today because of what it has received from God in Christ, by bringing together into one life the several traditions of the Churches that united to constitute it. This heritage flows from apostolic times through the Reformation down to our own day. The Churches that united to form the Church of North India were all linked with the Church from apostolic times through a continuous thread of doctrine, spiritual experience, and allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ – affirming salvation through Him. In their own ways, they all sought to maintain continuity with the early Church in matters of Order.
